Saw some new matte colors this morning, how long have they been there?
Been looking for a “Matcha” color for a while and that Matte Apple Green looks great!

I think they added them on the 6th when the new filament sale went live.

Grabbed one of each, kinda wish there was a new product ticker or something (or if there is and I’m just not aware)

It wasn’t that far back as I have been looking at the filaments for the past week as I am ordering a bunch and found issues with the ordering process (it will not accept two compensation vouchers at once in a single order) and the PLA Basic Cyan with spool is strangely £2 more than all other filaments, something that does not happen in any other country.
It would have been two days at most as the NEW tag was still attached to the PLA Basic tags at that point and all NEW tags have been removed since the PLA Matte NEW tags were added.
I have opened tickets for both and both are being responded to as uselessly as you would expect.

Compensation vouchers not being accepted together
They implied I was too stupid to use the ordering process and they were too stupid and sent the compensation codes to various accounts.
I am not stupid and they sent them to the same account.
9 days later they asked for the codes.

£2 additional charge for PLA Basic Cyan
They said they had escalated this to the specific department.
The price is still £2 extra 9 days later and no further communication.
I have told them I will have to make several smaller orders to use the compensation codes up, costing them far more in delivery charges as they will foot the bill for each one, rather than one combined order.
As they are dragging their feet, I will likely do that.
The U.K. store has no stock of black or light grey.
WHO RUNS OUT OF BLACK FOR A WHOLE COUNTRY?
Are compensation codes different to the gift card redemptions?
Like a “sorry we effed up” kinda thing for claims etc?
That perfectly describes it.
During the two sales (Black Friday & New year one), the orders they decided not to deliver in any reasonable time or failed to deal with lost in transit deliveries all gained the most pathetic compensation.
- £16 for late printers
- £8 for late anything else
The compensation codes are placed in a different section from where the gift cards go.
Each time you add a new compensation code the checkout page accepts only one and the others show up with a strikeout effect over the code you entered.
So, they screwed us on delivery, they screwed us on the compensation amounts and now they screwed us on using them in a single order.
I gained three, meaning, I have to split a single order into three. This means they will be paying at least twice the cost it would have been if they bothered responding without pointless boilerplate responses and being dumb in the process.
I used my all my 4 codes in the same order at the EU store. No problem.

Like MtO above I tried to use my three compensation codes (£16/£8/£8 plus another £8 with a duplicated Code number?) on a single order here in the UK but no matter which order I entered them it only accepted the first one and struckout the other two.

Are you sure you ended up gaining the value of the combined 4 as a discount?
Nothing in the error messages ever said “we are only using one” it nearly said we have adjusted them and unless you were watching carefully you may not have noticed.
I had the identical scenario, down to the duplicate code.
I created three orders instead on one, each hitting the minimum order value for free delivery so they lose out.
Maybe it is only some of the country stores, possibly just the U.K. getting screwed.
I gave them the codes I used after I used them in the ticket and said I wanted an answer, given how long they take to do anything in a ticket and how often they abandon logic for boilerplate, I won’t hold my breath for an answer.

I am concerned many, at least in the U.K. where we know it didn’t work, have not realised.
New packaging too, box is smaller, thinner, and has instructions on back instead of a leaflet inside

Can’t tell you for sure, the other colors I ordered that weren’t from the new range were in old boxes so I have nothing to compare to
that’s a very good idea, the leaflet inside is just a waste of paper, and making the box more compact is also great

Are the PLA Matte series really not as stronger as the Basic series?

Yes it is much weaker. It’s PLA with a filler like chalk.
