I have seen many rumours/leaks on the new printer from BBL this year, such as Frankly Built’s video stating that there will be a new printer in Q3 (July, August and September) and it has also appeared in reddit and also in ALL3DP’s articles, but is there any conformation?
For now these are just rumors, as you’ve already said. There was a brief interview with the CEO of BL on YouTube, a while back, where he said something along the same lines, that sometime towards Q3-Q4 this year, BL might launch a (new) printer, but he kept it very vague as to which printer model will that be (i.e. X2, P2 or A2) and what (new) features it will have. He said something along the same lines last year, prior to launching the A1 series.
So, at this time, your guess is as good as anyone’s guesses.
Will there be a new printer launched this year? Most likely, yes, otherwise the competition will definitely catch up with BL and might take a good slice of their customers.
Will it be an improved version of any of the existing printers? Possibly.
Would it be a newer and better (read: innovative) flagship printer? We will have to wait and see.
Actually, he said in fact it would be a new flagship printer in 2024, which the X1C in the current flagship printer. So, we do know that it will be the next gen core x,y to succeed the X series. He also stated that it will have a larger build volume, the only thing he was vague about was the answer to the improved multi color and multiple tool heads, Idex, etc., he said they were working on it and we would have to wait and see.
Will have to wait and see.
