I had a super tack from the first batch, which worked flawlessly way past the expected lifetime.
I had done so many prints that it was starting to fail (as to be expected), so purchased a new one last week.
Can’t get anything to stick to it, just warps and then spaghetti. Looking at the plates they are totally different textures and materials. So looks like the “updated” manufacturing/coating is not good.
This thing has been on the market for a little over half a year now, hasn’t it?
What is the expected lifetime - and what is way past that?
It may have been hyperbole, but each side on my old plate has about 500-600 prints, my X1C is running most of the time, day and night.
The docs say less than 20% adhesion loss after 300 prints - so at double that I was starting to get failures, which I had accepted.
Also I had a few prints that stuck too well and I had scratched the surface on one side too much I think.
