New to AMS. Need Advice: Purge optimization

G’day. Zulkir here. I’m new to the Bambu AMS Lite for the Bambu A1/mini. I’m currently seeing that there is a lot of filament changes and printing inadequacies, and I’m wondering if there’s a way to optimize the amount of filament purges this thing does?

I’m also wondering if there are ways where i can tell Bambu Studio to print specific parts on the same layer into their entirety before changing filament colors / types? it tends to do part of the same layer, shift to a new color, complete that color, then go back to the previous color and finish off the rest of it… seems… suboptimal…

Also, Just as a heads up: I AM NEW to 3d printing as a whole. Any links or resources, or anything that you can send to me would be appreciated. I’m not afraid to do some reading, but i figured I’d ask here to get the advice and knowledge from the community

You cannot print one color fully and then switch to another, the nozzle wouldn’t be able to reach the plate whithout hitting the other part already printed which is high a few millimiters already.

But I’m also no expert here, and I’m also having issues with a multicolor print which I can’t for the life of me resolve

PERHAPS, we can solve our troubles together? :). lay your problem on me!

Just posted a new thread!

On it! Talk to you over there, man!

btw, a way to save filament for example in the model I posted in my thread is to cut the whole thing in half horizontally and make the “front” multicolor and the whole back one single color, if you know what I mean…?
but that would only work on simple flat shapes
