First I want to say I am so far very happy with my H2D. My first printer was a FF AD5M Pro, I don’t recommend them AT ALL. Nothing but Issues!
That said, I am doing some color prints, using PETG for interface and black and Green. I am printing text on my model and In the objects tab I have selected black as my text fill color. What am I doing wrong the text is printing the background color and obviously no visible.
Can you attach the .3mf file?
Ok here you go I make Airsoft accessories and stuff for our local club. All I am trying to do is get the text flush and a different color. I used the regular
Airsoft Pisto;.3mf (1.1 MB)
Orca and It had a setting “use surface” to get things flush but this version not sure the correct way.
I used the regular Orca with my old printers, I am using Bambu Studio 2.5 here.
Your issue here is a conflict with the imported STL already being colored. This colouring/painting overrides the modifier text colour selection.
Ok How do you change that?
and how can you tell looking at the model
Looking further into this the problem is actually that you have the Text set to “Modifier” not “Part”.
The text should have the little green plus sign not the green dot.
You need to change the type. Right click on the text shape and select “Change Type” and then “Part”
Slice it and the text is added.
You are going to need to adjust the text size as some of it is too small for the nozzle/layer height to print.

I think he is trying for flush text.
I see what you mean.
The issue is that it doesn’t seem like modifiers work on a painted surface.
Here is a generic cube in the same file with a painted surface. I added a modifier text shape on a non painted surface and a painted surface.
When you slice the painted surface text isn’t applied.
Yes trying to do flush. I saw the “modifer” in a youtube guess I misunderstood
No you understood right, it works in many instances, just not this one it seems.
Thanks Guy! I appreciate the info!
