I’ve got the the P1S and have used PLA for a couple of months. Lately it seems I’m printing nonstop. I never thought I could achieve the level of organization I have in the mancave with all the bins, mounts, stands and gadgets. Now I’m ready to venture out and have a question that will likely make most here chuckle, but it is a real question…
Can PETG filament be used together with PLA in the same print? For instance, using PETG for the main print and then PLA for lettering and emblems. This is a sincere question. Does the slicer allow that? Do the two bind well?
PLA and PETG do not mix. They are often used as support material for each other because they do not stick together.

The slicer does allow it. But the two do not bond. Using PETG as a PLA support interface is very common and popular as they easily separate.
Beam interlocking may be used to enforce some kind of mechanical interlocking, but I prefer to stick to material combinations that are known to be compatible and use classical latches or screws for dissimilar materials.
