I was wondering if we actually need an image of the print model when we publish models with print profiles if we are the maker… such as this person did on all their models

It should, but MW doesn’t care about that.
they really dont as i see
He seems to be reputable and just rebranding his old products. However, I think its bad practice and I personally avoid prints/products with no actual proof of concept.
As a designer, I am going to tell you, yes.
Just this week I had 3 models taken down (legacy thingiverse transfers) because they didn’t have a picture of the printed model in them. Fair enough because those are the rules right?
But to my surprise I now see this featured model: Soccer Football Airless Ball by 3DXAV - MakerWorld
That has not a single picture of the printed model in it! Onlt computer renders and animations!
So some picture less models get deleted while others get featured???
Why this double standard?
I just saw this, which is interesting.
All of the supplied images are renders. The user even states in the description “I don’t know if the parts fit well toghether as I don’t have a 3d printer to test my models”
could require some glue i hope not lol
