No detection of bambu RFID in ams 2

It seems I have the same issue that others have reported with the AMS 1 — the Bambu spool is not being detected. When I try to get it to read the spool, I get the following message:

Cannot read filament info: the filament is loaded to the toolhead. Please unload the filament and try again.

Funny thing is, when I unload it, the filament slot on the screen appears empty, so I can’t trigger another read. And when I load it back in, it spins a bit, then stops — and still no read.

What I don’t understand is that when I first loaded all four filaments before i took them out of the toolhead to turn on the dry function, the AMS spun them and successfully read the info. So why won’t it do it now when I ask? Any input from Bambu staff?

I read in another post about the AMS 1 that turning off the printer and trying again might help, but I was hoping this issue would’ve been fixed by now.

Mine had problems reading RFID on slots 3 and 4 so I wrote to BBL Support and they sent me a new main frame to install. Haven’t received the frame yet but it’s on the way.

I recommend contacting BBL Support.

restarting the printer didn’t work

i was able to “fix” it, by taking out all of the spool completely then i placed them on other spot, and each one of them got a read.

but it is still an issue that you can’t force a read if its loaded, and that taking it out just show it empty, but when you place a spool it get feeded then you get a read, so somewhere someone mess up this function and it need a fix.
