I bought two P1Ps and one came with firmware 01.01.01.00 and the other came with firmware 01.02.02.00.
I have had ZERO issues connecting to wifi, sending prints through the cloud service, turning off the light, using the mobile app to bind the printer, connecting to the printer through Bambu Studio, or print issues. I have not updated either printer to the latest firmware.
So far the experience has been flawless.
Good to hear. Got to be honest, reading through your post I kept expecting a “BUT”. 
Yeah… still waiting for the “but” too 
But kidding aside, this matches my experience with the X1C… Been using it for a month now as my first FDM printer and I too had exactly 0 issues. Whenever something in my print failed, it was easy enough to spot the mistake I made and fix that with the next print attempt. The machine itself has not been letting me down so far.

They are very nice machines. Some folks want full control of their designs, and protection from using Wifi. We know Bambu Labs is concerned about their design privacy with the use of propriety firmware, so why not the same for their customers? What I like is the continuous effort for improvement, adding new features, the ability to obtain support, and affordable replacement parts.
