No space in Y-direction print bed for very first print lines

Bambu Studio show some space (couple of milimeters) at the edge of the bed in Y-drection.

But reality is that there is NO space at all.

What is the issue?

Make sure your plate is set in the alignment tabs on the hot bed.

Check to see if your nozzle is bent.

Thanks,
I am sure that my plate is correctly placed. The issue is always there.

How to check if my nozzle is not bend?

How i the homing in y - direction performed?

Here is picture of one that bent and one that not bent. Take the hotend cover off to see if it is bent.

Thanks, will check if i am finished with 37 hours print.

Hi Barry i checked the nozzle. Seems okay see picture

Hi
I wouldn’t put too much thought in it. The exact position of the bed is not fixed precisely. In the WIKI they explain how to move the bed forward a bit if it gets stuck on the poop chute. So as it can be mounted too far back, I assume it can be too much forward as well. I would leave it as it is, as long as there are no printing problems.

Thanks Ulrich,

I agree with you. Although i raised a ticket as well. I wonder if the helpdesk knows the answer. I finally had to upload a video (removing the AMS and top cover). The homing is done as i believe via hard touch of the print head to the front cover, so that will be Y=0,0 mm. Will keep the forum posted.

Hi Ulrich,

You where right.

This is what i got back.

We have a solution for this issue. The Wiki referenced below is typically used for problems with the build plate rubbing the back of the chamber. However, you have the opposite problem. Please use this Wiki guide, except move the bed in the opposite direction to get it closer to the rear:

Hi all,

I managed to move the bed in plus Y-direction with 0.6 mm. Now the first so called purge line is just ON the bed. I followed this instruction:
https://wiki.bambulab.com/en/x1/troubleshooting/homing-z-axis-failed_part-unit-interference

But be aware of the version of the bed you have because i head 3 screws with a sticker on top. (instead of 6 scres without a sticker). Who is putting a black sticker on a black bolt?

I have this same situation happening. Thanks everyone for sharing the different things to check! I will certainly look into mine as well. :+1:

Same situation. Turns out my nozzle was bent towards the rear. A little persuasion back in the right direction and all is well. Thanks @Sticks and @Barryg41 for the advise that lead me to a quick resolution.
