Noise from the extruder totally random

Hello everyone,

I give u the link for the video I shoot.

I have the x1c from a month and done 130h of printing. I started hearing this noise coming totally random from my extruder. Sometimes it does only at first layer, sometimes go on for all the print and sometimes appears in the middle of the print. Already try to belt all the external and internal screw without success. Support say it’s normal but I don’t think so…
Any suggestions?? Thanks!!

I don’t hear anything unusual. Just the normal sounds the printhead mechanics make as they move the printhead around…

I concur, the only noise I hear is the stepper motor whine and it sounds normal. However I do hear one buzz at time index 10 seconds to 11 seconds briefly while the head is moving towards the back in the +Y axis.https://youtu.be/Fuyn8EKBaaw?t=9 But I have to confess, that could be just about anything.

The only suggestion I might add is to perhaps look at adding a drop of lube to the pulley mechanisms but I doubt that will change anything. Just one tiny drop, not two or three… as in Uno, Eins and One. :wink:

Yes I’m referring to the sound at 10s. The problem occurs in x and y too (not in the video but it does very often), the noise seems to be something related to the extruder. I read one thread from one guys witch has the same noise and he belt the external screw of the extruder and he’s noise is gone, I’ve tried the same without success. It’s annoying, more than the normal noise while printing because it’s a high-pitched sound. Today I done all the maintenance, clean the rods, tension the belts and clean/lube the z lead screw.
Sometimes it goes on for all the print!

I find that my printer makes the most noise when making circles or prints with rounded corners. I would think something is loose but the next print is normal sounding. :man_shrugging: Been like that for over a year. She ain’t broke yet. :+1::pray:

After the motor noise cancellation update my noise is gone. I don’t hear anymore since then.

Thank you for the feedback ! For me it was the small fan on the extruder.
