Noise insulation

Here is a guy who found a way to insulate he’s X1, after complaints from he’s neighbor.

That’s too funny. How thin are his walls? FYI, I modified one of my prints to turn all the fans up to 100% just to see how loud it is. My printer is in another room around the corner from my main area where I watch TV. The other room is open to this room separated by my kitchen. The whole area is open. Started the print and set in the other room answering emails. And guess what, it wasn’t that loud at all. So, I did the same thing with my Ender 5 that doesn’t have an enclosure. It was louder, but still not enough to drive me insane. I think you are just overreacting about this. You might want to get a couple of cheaper 3D printers to start, and you will see how loud 3D printers can be. Once you start using 3D printers, you will see that they make noise. On the Bambu, the noise from the XY movement system is louder than any fan.

No, I sound like someone who has used 3D printers and I am not making speculations. All of your posts on here have no proof or merit. You don’t own this printer and sound like you have never owned a 3D printer at all. Come back and comment when you have actually done your own research with your own printers like I did.

I’m going to make a polystyrene box to decrease the noise when I’m sleeping.

The neighbor of this YouTuber is a really bastard. I don’t have problems with mine, only my sleep is affected by the noise

I have been printing for 3 years. Researching the X1 Carbon, to see how it is.
My findings: It is far from mature.
In a year or two, I might have a X1 Carbon. Let’s see.

Good idea. Sleep is important.

Updating to the latest firmware with Active Motor Noise Cancellation available in the latest firmware just released for update makes the printer realy silent.

For anyone interested here is a link to the release notes.
