Hello my machine has been making a noise when switching from the Left to right nozzle. It has made it since day 1 however it is getting quite worse. I have opened up a ticket however would like to see if the community has any ideas either. I have pulled PTFE tubes and looked around the tool head but not seeing anything. I am thinking it is the buffer making the noise but haven’t looked into how to remove the assembly and check it.
If you remove the filament from both extruders, you can manually switch the nozzles in the menu. Then you know if it are the nozzles or if it’s the filament in the buffer.
Thank you will try this… it looks like the noise happens before the extruder switch cam even begins to turn. This is why I was leaning towards buffer and only on Left to Right does not do it on Right to left. It is odd, the noise was barely there when I got it but now it is louder than the printer by a good bit
Might it be related to the AMS? You might try to disconnect the AMS and set up 2 external spools. Check if it still happens.
If it’s still there, then the buffer is probably the cause.
I’m having this issue as well, but only when going from my right (ams) to the left (external spool). In the middle of a 12 hour print so I’m thinking of letting it go, but would def be interested to know what’s going on. It’s annoying af lol
Im starting to see that on my machine, did you ever find a solution on yours?
Nope, it kind of just went away, happened again maybe for 1 print and hasn’t happened again.
I contacted Bambulab and sent them this video, they sent me a new buffer assembly. It did fix this nose
