However, @Bambu Lab, this really must be sorted if it continues to confuse. please think about the wording to help new people understand this clearly. It can’t keep being an issue to everyone new until someone helps them.

Here’s my communication to whoever maintains the project and whoever finds this post in the future:
I want to load whatever presets are in a pre-configured 3mf I am using.
I don’t want opening a project to leave any residue if I start or open a new project, ever.
I want to check the box that says “never ask me again” when loading or exiting without saving.
It is not clear what to do when exiting or loading a project, and so I am here following these instructions. I’ll edit shortly.
I lost the ability to edit the post. The writeup by Henris helped me to confidently navigate the prompts, but they still must be engaged with for every new project. As one tends to print things shortly after downloading and never touch them again the issue persists with the application having terrible user experience.
