Not possible to use custom profile for Fiberon PPS-CF10

Why is it impossible or close to impossible to import and use a custom filament profile?

It is amazing how Bambu manage to do something so simple practically impossible.

It’s not the first time I get stuck with this, which should be the easiest thing in the world.

This time it seems impossible to import and use Polymaker Fiberon PPS-CF 10:
I downloaded the config file from Polymaker. Changed the compatible printer name to my printer name in Bambu Studio - “Bambu Lab H2D”.
I only have this printer installed in Bambu Studio. No other printers.
Tried “everything”
Yet, the filament is stuck in “Unsupported”.

Also extremely strange it’s not possible to update the list of filaments in the printer, so I can select the correct filament when loading it on the printer.

These are flaws that should be given and very simple. Bambu really needs to get their act together here. I am sure I am not the only one frustrated with the hazzle of using custom filaments. I’ll start looking around for another brand if it’s gonna be this hopeless trying to use a Bambu.

The profile is made for an X1E. That’s why it won’t show up. Just load the X1E printer in your slicer and copy the settings. You should be good. It’s just a filament profile anyways. Just make sure your temps and bed temps and max flow are set and you should be good.

Just lie to the slicer when you tell it what kind of filament it is. Say its ABS but keep the settings as you would for PPS-CF. It doesnt know. The machine doesnt know. You do

Open the .json file in a text editor and change the compatible printer name to whatever your printer is. Then import.
