Nozzle blocker bent

I’m on 01.01.05.00 and had the blocker bend and rip my print off the bed this morning. Unfortunately I don’t know if it was right at the start when hiking or sometime after the first layer/color change but it didn’t get beyond the second layer. So it doesn’t appear this is fixed with the latest firmware.

Same issue here.

I have an H2D that is fully updated, with a brand-new left nozzle and flow blocker. On startup, it homes normally and everything looks fine. But as soon as calibration starts, the GDM assembly slams into the back, misses the nozzle slots in the metal scraper assembly, jerks to the right, snags the nozzle blocker, then tries to change nozzles three times before throwing an error.

At that point, everything is jammed in the back and misaligned, and the nozzle blocker ends up bent. These are brand-new parts. As of April 22, 2026, this is still not fixed on the latest firmware.

I’m really disappointed. I’m a big Bambu fan and own both an X1C and an H2D, but this will absolutely affect my future purchasing decisions.

Update / possible fix:

There is a slotted nozzle guide piece in the back that moves forward and backward when you press the orange lever at the rear. It has the slots that the nozzle tips are supposed to enter.

Check the metal base that this piece slides on. If that metal is sitting above the plastic edge of the poop chute, that is a problem. It is not supposed to be above that plastic line.

What worked for me:

1. Park the toolhead to the right.

2. Reach into the back and pull the nozzle scraper/guide slide forward.

3. Reach underneath it with two fingers and grab the metal base.

4. Lift/bend it enough that it flexes noticeably. This raises the rear and pushes the front downward.

5. Pull the plastic poop chute slightly toward you so the metal ridge can drop back below the plastic edge where it belongs.

6. Add a little PTFE lubricant.

7. Work the sled forward and backward using the orange lever.

Once corrected, it should move freely, stop catching, and spring back smoothly.

In my case, this part was sticking and staying in the way of the flow blocker arm while parked. After freeing it up so it slides back properly, the flow blocker stopped jamming.

@blake.thoennes

Can you explain this with a picture or two?

Is this the purge wiper moving up?? I have a fix for that!

will take pics and link tonight.

this is a nozle tip scrapper to the left of the rubber wiper thing. its all metal and was for sure catching and getting stuck.

i have a low hour h2d this was occuring on.

now to diagnose why my samsung 256gb usb keeps disconnecting on my h2d… sigh

Anyone still having this issue: are you absolutely on the lastest firmware??? Please confirm when posting about this issue.

Until we know it’s sorted, I strongly recommend removing your flow blocker from the H2D. This will avoid the self destructive issue generally.

Otherwise: absolutely ensure your H2D is running up to date firmware (not beta versions). We know for certain that original firmwares had crashes and flow blocker damage.

just happened to me. wish they would send messages warning about the issues before we break our expensive equipment

i updated after repairing the left nozel heater and flow blocker. it was a pain, semi-costly, time consuming, and absolutely updated the firmware before test printing. End of April2026.

Just happened to me on a new X2D with firmware 01.01.00.00

Does anyone have an understanding of why the H2D nozzle blocker keeps getting bent?

Has this been resolved? If not, then why not?

No, I don’t understand why.

I never had this issue in the year I am using the H2D. Some had issues because the tool head was at a position that caused homing to bend it.

In the latest firmware, the homing initialization was updated to prevent this.

Maybe look back at some videos to see where it goes wrong. An incorrectly mounted nozzle blocker is also a recipe to get it bent.

The reddit post would suggest that all we have to do to prevent the nozzle blocker from getting bent is to alway have the Left nozzle retracted when the toolhead is parked. This positions the nozzle blocker up higher under the left nozzle.

In other words the right nozzle sits lower and with the nozzle blocker over the right nozzle, the blocker can contact the Silicone wiper pad.

So can we add gcode (Macro) to retract the left nozzle as post gcode??

This just happened to me as well. Removed the bent blocker, straightened it out and it happened immediately again as soon as I ran another print. Does anyone know if this has been resolved?

I am running a beta 01.01.50.00 firmware. Could this be the issue?

Thanks

Just got my H2C recently and this issue just happened to me too. Was doing a dual nozzle print and all of a sudden the nozzle blocker is bent. Doesn’t seem like BL has fixed the issue, but I also didn’t see when it happened. Guess I’ll go open a support ticket.

This happened to me the other day. Came to see that my print had spaghetti’d everywhere and noticed the nozzle blocker bent. But I am not sure what drove the fault, may have a look at the video and see but strange as I have never had it happen before until now.

Same issue on brand new x2d, noticed after a failed print immediately after doing my first print using both nozzles, last layers were on the right nozzle.
