When attempting to print with ABS, I now get warnings in Bambu Studio about possible nozzle clumping during printing.
Why would this happen only with ABS? Is this a real issue?
always ignored that warning, never had any issue.
The reason is that those materials (ASA, PA, PPA, etc.) have a higher risk of warping or poor bed adhesion, that can cause this nozzle clumping.
A worst case scenario is the “blob of death”, google it, and you will become a bit more cautious then.
It is a reminder for you to consider to activate the nozzle clumping check.
Definitely when you are printing this material for the first time, it’s always good to keep an eye on the print job during the first couple of layers.
But also in a later stage, a contaminated build plate could cause this to happen, so it is a dormant risk.
