Nozzle not heating properly

I’m having a problem to wear. My nozzle is not heating up properly and there’s nowhere near hot enough to actually print anything. I have this issue the beginning of the year, but I replaced my version eight circuitboard with a version nine and the problem was resolved, but now I’m having the same issue again. My circuit board is relatively new and I’m using a new hot end as well so I know it’s not the thermostat but I have no clue what the issue could be outside of those two parts.

OK. Let’s start from the beginning.

  1. You state that the nozzle is not heating up properly. What exactly do you mean by ‘properly’? Additionally, you haven’t mentioned the basis for your conclusion. Is it because the printer reports a different temperature than the one you’ve set, or is it due to a lack of filament flow?
  2. Are you able to purge filament?
  3. You mentioned performing numerous parts replacements, suggesting a hardware issue, but you didn’t specify how you verified filament settings or why you came to the conclusion that hardware replacements were necessary. Could you please clarify the type of filament you’re using and the corresponding temperature settings? Also, please share with us why you came to the conclusion that hardware replacement was needed, that’s a big step and may not have been necessary.

Your question contains several unknowns that only raise further questions. To assist you effectively, please provide complete information.

The printer was displaying a temperature that was lower than what it actually was for example when set it to 200. It would be significantly colder like around 120c*. I double checked the wiring disconnected everything on the Interface board then reconnecting it now it’s working fine.

Okay. So you’re saying the nozzle was colder by 80°C. How exactly did you verify this? Also, please answer the other questions. Have you tried cleaning off the old thermal grease compound from the thermistor and applying new?
