I have a project that requires a different nozzle size for different parts of the project. I separate these parts into multiple plates. When I go to slice all the plates in preview mode, I can only choose one nozzle size for all the plates.
Is there an option to bind a nozzle size to a plate? On the same thread, is there an option to bind a plate texture to a specified plate in bambu studio?
No.
This feature doesn’t exist.
You choose the printer and by association the nozzle type per project.
You will need to change the category to become a feature request. If you do not know how to do that, let me know and I will make the change for you.
I’m trying to change it over but it tells me to include a tag for the feature request category. I’ve added the “bambu-studio-feature” tag but it seems to not be accepting it.

I’m working on a project now and the exact same desire for me.
It’s a relatively complex model of a car. Some of the components are non-visual and I would prefer to print them out using a larger nozzel. Some components are extremely high detail.
It doesn’t seem any more unreasonable than changing the build plate type per plate.
I’m torn on bumping this vs a new topic but decided to ultimately bump it given this is a “feature request”.
A shame this hasn’t gotten more traction since 2024. Now with the H2C, it’s even easier to swap nozzle size between prints so it would be incredibly helpful if this could already be specified for the plate.
