Nozzle Temp Adjustment Not Working

I’m trying to dial in the settings necessary for Bambu’s TPU 95A filament. I’m wanting to change the Nozzle temp but regardless of what I set the Filament Nozzle Temp to the printer always sets the temp to 255º. I’ve been changing it manually using the touch screen but I’m wanting to know what I’m missing. Why can’t I change the Nozzle Temp and save it in the Filament settings?

Below is what the printer is setting the Nozzle at when printing:

Below are the settings for the TPU Filament I created:

Any help linking me to what I’m missing would be greatly appreciated!

You have the initial layer the same as other layers. Meaning, you have locked your setting in at 200*

EDIT: Also, the RFID Tag for Bambu might be changing the temp.

Ok so I’ve lock my settings in a 200. That was my intent. Why is the printer still setting the Nozzle Temp to 255? And what is the “RFID Tag”? Is that what is on the spool that came with the TPU from Bambu? If so that’s not the problem because the spool is not in the AMS. TPU is not compatible with the AMS. I’m feeding it externally from my Filament Dryer.

If you sliced the model with the * B TPU profile, then I have no idea.

I am not so surprised that you do not get the 200°C but I am very surprised that you are getting 255°C when your Max temp is set to 250°C.

When exactly is it happening? When the print is starting (i.e. “Machine Start Code”), or later, when the print is starting (“Filament start gcode”)?

Do you also have the issue when you give the printer a true range (i.e. 199-201°C)?

It later when the print is starting. What do you mean “True Range”?

Are you sure you sliced your model with the TPU filament setting?

looks more like it was sliced with PETG since the build plate temperature is at 70C as well

Sorry on the true range. Mixed up the min/max and the 1st/subsequent layers in my mind.

Can you check your filament start gcode for those 255?

Maybe follow @Panamon_Creel first though. Well spotted inconsistency best explained by PETG being defined in the printer.

Hmmm… I thought I used the TPU settings. I’m always using PETG so I may have missed something when slicing the model. I was under the impression that once you assigned the desired filament to the model the settings assigned to that filament were used when you slice the model. Is that correct? If that’s not correct, I’m liable to learn something very helpful out here!

I’ve also noticed the high temp plate which is set at 35 is not being followed correctly either. I’m using Wham Bam’s build plate and they have me using the high temp build plate all the time.

Might help if you post screenshot of your slicer screen, especially the left side with “Process” set to “Objects”

Thanks so much for your help… I am not at home now but as soon as I get a chance, I will post said screenshot.

Hey… I think I found my problem. When I went to screen shot my Objects screen I found that my object I’m printing was not reflecting the filament number my TPU was using. It was however set to a filament number I had set for PETG! :man_facepalming:

Thanks so much for pointing me in the correct direction. I’ll try it again in the morning.

I don’t see that page in my windows version. Is it available? I would like to know how to permanently change the PETG HF print nozzle temp to 243degrees. It print 100% better at that temp. However right now I have to wait and babysit until it starts to adjust it. Thanks ahead of time!!
