Object Skipping on the A1 menu

Imho one of the biggest issues with the A1 currently is the missing Exclude Object/Skip from within the printer itself. I just had to go back and disable LAN-Mode, just to get the feature back.

Something thats kind of a core feature like that should absolutely be visible/usable directly from the printer interface, either with or without LAN Only.

This doesn’t exist at all on the P series printers.

I imagine the lack of option on the A series is the limited screen size that means the UX wouldn’t be great.

It is easy to do using the handy app though and works well.

Obviously, it requires a paired app to the printer.

I tend to use my iPhone or iPad.

Not that the UI cant be changed  It does not only require a paired app, but for the app also the cloud connection. Hiding basic features behind the cloud is a nogo

I clearly did not say that.

I said it it likely would be a great experience on a tiny screen.

The LAN option is provided to give users the ability to be entirely disconnected from the BL servers. The Bambu Handy app connects to the servers to provide all the functionality it delivers.

Some advanced functionality is unavailable when using KAN only mode, this is documented.

As I mentioned, the P series also lacks this ability using the screen,

This advanced feature is only available on the larger screen that is included on the current top level model, the X series. You can skip using that screen as it is large enough to deliver a suitable UX.

Whilst I understand you don’t like it that this feature is unavailable when in LAN mode, it is unlikely to change.

Yes it is, but that does not make it better tbh.

And thats why I posted this in the feature requests, Im guaranteed not the only single person that thinks this should be changed. Include an additonal option in the A1 menu or at least make it possible on Orca/Bambu Studio. That would be the absolute bare minimum, as I absolutely dont see that as an advance feature, besides theres also technically no point why this feature would need any connection to Bambu Servers at all.

If we would just lay back and take it as it is what it is, there would be no feature requests needed

I agree with that.

I don’t think you should have it, I just wonder how far up the list they will put it.

It seems crazy that we can only skip objects if the file has been sent via Bambu’s servers. It really should be possible to skip objects regardless of what method has been used to send the file to the printer (WAN,LAN,SD or a repeat from the card) and be done via the printer, the app or Bambu Studio.

If Creality can manage this, Bambu shouldn’t find it too difficult.
