How can I make only the red-marked parts of my model stronger during printing? Unfortunately, they broke immediately when I tried to connect the part to my machine.
I read in a forum that it’s possible to adjust the strength for specific parts of an object, but my model is currently a single object. I created it in Shapr3D.
By the way, what are the strongest / best settings for printing parts like this?
The feature your looking for is in the right-click modifier menu. This is how it works.
In this case, I’m going to use a simple example of a cylinder as my modifier. However, note that you can use any shape, including another STL file stored on your system, which allows for truly complex manipulation. In this example, I’m using a simple round peg as the protrusion.
Now you simply select that object from the object menu or you can just click on it and then (s)cale the object accordingly to fit the region you want to modify.
But the Cylinder modifier can be independently manipulated. In order to tell the slicer to treat that volume of geometry–cylinder in this case–differently.
