Would like to see an option to allow the Printer Display to be kept alive for the duration of the print. I like to see what is actually happening while the print is being completed. Once the screen has been automatically ‘sent to sleep’, I find it extremely difficult to access the screen functions at all until the print completes?
same here, I am finding this pretty annoying.
Just as a piece of information or an alternative: You can use any smartphone, old tablet, or whatever as a second display, even as always on. Any Windows computer, any smart TV, almost everything. Another advantage is that it doesn’t have to be in the same room.
I know this isn’t the solution that was asked for, but most people should at least have a mobile phone or tablet.
I am using Both pc & phone. But what good is the built in screen for if it doesn’t share data? for a 12 hrs print it does sleep within 1-2 hrs I guess, then I have to check my phone or pc, which are not dedicated for this purpose.
I still don’t see the problem of adding one more option to the existing choices available, at this time we have 3 options, none of which allow what I want? If we cannot add one more option to give us all an ‘always on’ option, then why not just remove the 1 minute option altogether and replace that with a ‘permanently on’ choice - surely not that difficult to alter what is (in effect) one line of code?
This would make a lot of users happy as well as me!
Why don’t you suggest it to the developers? ![]()
