ORCA Sliver - dies it work, or not ? (I am confused)

I haven’t used my printers for a while now. Just started them again (X1C) and updated both firmware as well as Studio and Orca (beta 2.3.0 b2) - started Orca, connected to X1C and … cannot start a print ?

I did read a lot about the stories concerning Bambus desire to exclude other slicers, but also saw somewhere that it should be working now again based on the new firmware and software updates. But it does not.

When I connect ORca to the printer, it does report connected, but printer does not recact when I want to home.

I ahve sliced a file and sent to printer via “send” command from ORca to X1C, works, can start print from printer.+

Puzzled ?

Should I sell the X1Cs and get a K2 or Qidi ?

Ok, based on the new FW from Bambu for the X1C I can now enable the developer mode and use Orca. I still wonder why they started all this, when SoftFever did contribute a LOT from his side for the development of Studio. Anyway, I don’t like this “I have more muscles than you” game. Considering the Qidi now. WIll see …

I think, You can go back to the last firmware with your X1C and stay there. Then Orca Slicer should work normally.

Thanks. Today I was notified of a new FW fpr the printer, which now includes developer mode. This enables the chance to use Orca Slicer again.

Do you know if this is already the public release of the “Security” firmware? I don’t have a X1C but I’m interested how it is working in general because I mainly use Orca Slicer with my P1P. And I will be prepared.

It is still a beta FW.
Does work well now.
