Not sure how much this topic has been covered, but I am finding organic supports in Bambu Studio really frustrating and sub-par vs. PrusaSlicer. No matter what I change, I can’t seem to get the result I want. The picture shows a side-by-side comparison between the two slicers, PS gives me the supports I want with default settings and BS will not produce the same results no matter what I change in the advanced settings. Does any have any advice on how to achieve the same result in BS vs PS?
Paint the supports if you want to stay in BS, me personally I’d start using OrcaSlicer instead more Prusa like than BS and supports Prusa printers, just my two cents
tried paint-on supports, and Orca slicer both gave the same results - sorry should have mentioned that
Played with the number of braches allowed in the support setting in Orca which is missing from BS? Should be asking which version of Orca you tried because as Both Prusa and BL update their software Orca is merging them but a bit laggy so the Beta software releases for Orca sometimes contain fixes before they get fixed in the Parent software updates
Interesting, where is that setting - I can’t see it in Orca 1.6.6. Do I need to download the beta?
Fixed! Thanks @william.e.lewis464
Orca beta 1.7.0 has an organic setting in the style dropdown menu and it gave me a similar result to PS using the default settings - this may have been in 1.6.6 but I didn’t check before installing the update.
Sorry I shouldn’t have been so lazy and figured it out for myself
