New P1 Series Firmware Available for Public Beta Testing!
We’re excited to announce that firmware V01.08.03.15 for the P1 Series is now available through our Public Beta Program.
How to Join the Beta
To access the beta firmware, simply join the Beta Firmware Program via the Bambu Handy app under Me → Beta Firmware Program.
Once enrolled, the update will be pushed to your device gradually.
Want to Switch Back?
You can leave the Beta Program at any time by disabling the option in the app and installing the latest official firmware version.
Feature Optimization:
- Optimized RFID reading reliability for the AMS
- Optimized Bambu Farm Management, enhanced network stability when managing large amounts of printers
- Added Russian language support
- Fixed UI glitch problems
Known Issues:
- The stop button doesn’t respond when performing filament loading with AMS on Handy
- While the printer now supports E3D hotends in the accessory setting menu, the current Bambu Handy version doesn’t support 1-click printing with E3D hotend options. The current Bambu Studio doesn’t have slicer setting for the E3D by default. The following update of Handy and Studio will fix this issue

Power cycling the printer will often help to trigger the update.
The beta firmware is rolled out to Beta users in stages so not all users will have access to it at the very beginning.

To those that are in the beta FW program, in your experience does it seem to help more than hurt your printing? Contemplating on joining but would like to hear some testimonials first. Thanks in advance @everyone!
I have been in the firmware beta program since I got my printer or shortly thereafter and I have found it mostly transparent and not a problem.
Some folks holler pretty loudly when a firmware update shuts them down but there are very few of those folks when you think about how many printers are out there.
I also wonder how many of those folks have done things “under the hood” that makes them susceptible to breakdown.
If someone installs an unauthorized bit of hardware based on old software/firmware, that’s not really BL’s fault.

Might be me… or coincidence. I’m running 4 machines and I’m starting to see the AMS break off pieces of filament where I have to dissasemble it to clear. I’m using esun filaments.
It’s printer firmware. Not AMS.
AMS has its own firmware.
Does anybody know when the firmware update that will allow manual filament change will be released?
i still have not gotten the update
