P1P Lights on on Power

Hello all,

Is there a way, to power on the led stripe when the Printer turns on? Currently I switch the lamp via Bambu Studio.
It would be nice if this switches automatically

Bambu seems to be like Hyundai; they have a lot of really good capabilities but they’re all missing that last little touch that makes everything intuitive and smooth.

@BambuLab is there a chance to get this in a firmware update?

Yes, please add an default option into the firmware to choose LED ON / OFF whenn printer power is on.

On the control panel screen select the second icon down that’s on the left side. Then move to the right side of the screen and scroll down to the second page. Then select the “bulb” icon to control the light.

On the X1C the lights turn on when I power on the printer. But on the P1P it appears that I have to turn the light on manually every time I power the printer on. It is usually before I start the print that I need the light, so I would very much like it to turn on when I turn on the printer. Is it possible to have the printer remember the state of the light when it is powered off?

I don’t know if this is helpful but both my carbon x and my newly purchased Black Friday p1s both have an Amazon under counter LED 12in long light USB power supply with a three-way push button switch for 3 light settings. I put it in front of the AMS system facing through the smoked glass and it provides tremendous light, you wouldn’t need to bother with the p1s light again. However you need to turn it off with the carbon X1. I don’t know if this is helpful but it’s like a $18 item and works very well on Amazon ( ASOKO Under Cabinet Led Lighting, 12 Inch Light Strip Bar, Daylight White 5000K Dimmable Plug in USB)

Good find. Do you plug the USB into the spare port. Wait, you have X1, I have P1S. Do you have a spare USB port on the control panel? Regardless, I’ll try one.

I simplified by buying a 12-in under counter strip on Amazon and I believe it was about $12 three different levels and lay it on top of the smoked glass. Wanting to get more technical and a better camera mounted like my friend did on the outside you’d have to explore further what you’re doing with your lights for me both my p1s and X1 Carbon have these very simplified light sources. I certainly can send a link if anybody’s interested.

I just wanted to get back to this. I ordered the light strip that @k60072510 recommended and it’s really great. The light inside is bright, and I actually prefer the ‘medium’ setting on the light instead of the ‘high’ setting.

I was going to get all involved with mounting this thing, start printing stuff, bending little aluminum mounts etc., and then slowed my roll. I decided I wanted to try it first and see what position I want to mount it but giving it some time.

I lucked onto something I think I’ll just keep. I put two small spring paper clips over the door and hung it with some zip ties. It works perfectly and I can even raise it up out of the way to look in if I want. The closing of the door is not affected either. I think I might just keep it this way. I uploaded a photo.

HaHaHA I didn’t even know there was a second page! Thank you so much!!
