P1P/P1S MC Fan GCode

I just upgraded my P1P to a P1S using the upgrade kit.

I went into Bambu Studio and cannot notice a difference between the P1P and the P1S start/end GCode. I also noticed that there was an absence of the M710 A1 S255 and M710 S0 lines in either of them.

Is it necessary to still have to manually insert these lines into the GCode or is it automatic now on the newer firmware?

Also, is there a way to tell if the MC fan is working without taking the back panel off? I don’t feel like I can hear it and I forgot to turn on my machine before closing it back up. I read about a self-test mode on the X1C, but I don’t see a way to do that on a P1P without doing a factory reset.

Thanks.

Stock P1S has just like the X1C the “M710 A1 S255” in the Startup progress already registered, the P1P not.
As long as you couldn’t get the Firware flashed from the P1P to the P1S version the lines should be inserted as stated in the wiki.

The line triggers the MC board only as the steppers get moved. So just write some gcode with the lines present (and some motion / just G28) and it should kick in.

Hey, turns out the fan is working. I’m just hard of hearing so couldn’t really tell until I finished a print.

Seems all is good in the world
