P1P/P1S Print Finished, but Incomplete

Hi,

I’ve done four prints now since I upgraded my P1P to a P1S. I did all the upgrades (minus the chamber fan) and did the latest firmware upgrade.

Two of those four prints have failed where the printer stops printing, but it says print finished on the screen.

Anyone know if this is a bug or something else? People mentioned possibly bad microSD online, so I’m going to try swapping it out.

I am not saying this will fix it but it’s worth a try. It’s becoming standard procedure for me, after the firmware successfully completes I now shut the machine off. After waiting about 1 minute I turn the machine on and run the full calibration via the printer.

If that doesn’t work you could try and downgrade the firmware and try the same print via Bambu Handy.

Have you checked the slicer preview and all the layers? Do they show up there.

First print - printer said it completed, but wasn’t
Second print - print completed normally
Third print - print completed normally
Fourth print - printed said it completed, but wasn’t.

Turns out I had a clog in the extruder from heat creep. I think the clog resolved itself for the second and third print, but the fourth print was when I posted this. Shortly after, I noticed the extruder was clogged.

I disabled everything, removed the filament, and all is good in the world again.

Weird that the device didn’t send me any errors and instead said print completed. I’m guessing the extruder was sending signals to the mainboard that it was still moving?

Thanks!

I have had this happen twice on 2 long prints, quite frustrating. Says finished but the bed stays at temp, nozzle cools down and printer goes into sleep mode.

Now knowing it was clogs, just making sure you know that when printing PLA you need the lid off and door open because it’s known to cause clogs. The chamber fan you didn’t install yet might have helped a tad as it’s running when PLA is printed due to a low glass transition temp. But still a good idea to have the lid off and door open regardless.
