Hi dear folks,
my Poop Hatch Metal lid that hangs in there makes loud noises when the printer prints at some speed due to shaking the whole body of the printer. It is made out of a metal, can it just be lubricated with the supplied lubricant?

Don’t think the supplied grease would form an issue if you use it in moderation. Just not put a big glob on it which will cause some poop to stick …
The hatch needs to be able to move very easily. Grease may be too stiff for it to work properly. My favorite lube for precision things is TriFlow. I normally keep a aerosol can in the garage but this Pin Point Applicator version may be more useful for the tight space around the hatch. It looks like it’s sold at bicycle stores, I get mine at Fred Meyer. If you can’t find the pin point version, you can use the spray, I would spray it into something cup shaped then dip something pointy into the liquid to apply. The spray isn’t very controllable and it will make all kinds of stuff in the back of your printer shiny and slippery. Plus I don’t like the smell so I try to keep the amount applied to just enough to get it lubed properly.
