After I replaced the front housing as suggested by Bambu, the rattling went away completely. So the fan on the front was rattling around. But when you shake it, you can’t find the rattle lol
Well that was quick. In my case it was just the fan rattling around. I pulled the cover off and pushing on the fan I could see it was loose and shaking it was “clack-clack-clack”.
It seems like a design problem because the fan feels like it has some damping(?) on the fan mount that wears out which then causes the fan to rattle on Y axis movements. The screws could barely be made tight enough to stop it from rattling this time. If it gets loose again I will probably need to disassemble it and tighten up the damping (or whatever is in there that is loose/springy) because the screws can’t be made any tighter.
I also encountered a rattling sound on my P1S.
After checking the fan thx to @Heliguy71 I found that my screws where not actually holding the fan in place. There was a gap and the screws seemed to not want to be screwed any further. I used some tiny washers I had lying around and they seemed to have fixed the problem.
If you have a similar issue but no washers, just print some.
Mine are: 3mm inside - 7mm outside - 1mm height.
@dejerog Hello, can you please send the sound it was making? I am trying to find what is causing it (the fan or the cutter). Thank you!
I’m getting this noise and I saw your comment. I’m still getting familiar with my printer and was hoping you can tell me what part exactly is the Bowden connector pusher/slider. A pic if that’s easy enough for you, otherwise a description would be fine. Thanks for any help.
That’s closest to what my X1C just started doing. I don’t hear it as much during bed leveling, but very loud during prints.
Hi, since I have the same issue as you I was wondering if you fixed it and what was causing all of it? Thanks a mil!
Hi there, did you solve your issue? If so, what was causing it? Having the same problems right now. Thanks!
It was the front housing of the printer. Bambu sent me a new front cover/fan replacement and it stopped the issue. I also had a weird profile for a model from makerwold and was making another one of my p1ps rattle really bad. Went back to default printer profile and it was fine.
If you don’t have any washers you can grind down the 2 posts that the fan mounts to and it’ll fix the problem permanently. Just don’t file too much, only about 1mm is necessary.
It might be a lose screw somewhere but is it causing any print imperfections?
I also have this rattling noise, and I did everything others in this thread have mentioned but it is not going away. So far all the screws are tightened fine.
Could someone please help me diagnose these 2 noises? Got my printer 2 days ago and these noise are driving me nuts!
A loud buzzing/grinding noise during certain part of the print. Doesn’t happen all the time. But when it happens it lasts about 30 seconds. BL Support asked me to check the part fan and hotend fan but they aren’t the issue.
This rattle noise, also during only some part of the prints.
