P1P won't boot up. Died mid-print

My P1P died mid-print. Lost network connection, screen off, printer stopped printing. Power light is illuminating on the power switch. I’ve tried different power cables, different outlets. I’ve tried contacting support a couple of days ago but they have yet to acknowledge my existence. Any suggestions or ideas in the mean-time? The printer is a huge help for my small business and it’s hurting that it’s down right now.

Hopfully it might be a cable on the back of the PS that feeds the printer it’s power. It could be a loose ground or low voltage wire. Be extra careful looking around the back of the PS it also has high voltage that is dangerous to life.

I would wait on them.

That may be possible. I’ll give it a check a bit later once I’m off work. The machine does vibrate a lot. Thanks for the suggestion!

This happened to my X1C during mid print. Cannot even submit a ticket, because there is a mandatory log attachment from the printer. My printer just gets to the booting screen logo and hangs there, hence I am not able to get the logs.

I had a boot issue and solved it by removing the SD card from the slot. After that printer booted as normal. But SD card seemed to be “damaged” as formatting did not worked after that.

Check the plug end at the back of the keypad

It may not be fully pressed in or the wiring itself may be chafed somewhere along the way to the board

Hopefully just a loose plug into your controller

I’m not a fan of the P1P control keypad, it looks like an MP3 player, although with the plug end you might be closer to getting some secret firmware than us X1C guys are or running something similar to the Sonic pad and getting into the firmware deep

Did you fix this? This exact same thing has happened to my P1P after a power outage. The P1P is DOA.

Same problem just happened to me. I think the power cable might have slipped loose during the print due to vibrations, and now the light turns on in the back but no screen and no functionality. Studio cannot see the printer through the network.

did you fix this? how Bambu Lab support you ?

Hi! I’ve fixed this on a couple of my machines now so these are the steps I take.

Turn off the machine.
Unplug power cable.
Unplug AMS.
Remove SD card.
Toggle power switch on/off (this is like a ritual now though I know probably does nothing)
Plug in the power cable.
Turn on machine.
Plug in AMS and insert SD

Hope that helps! Has worked on two of my P1P printers.

This worked for me when my P1S quit responding after a minor power blip.

Your comment is still helping people. Thanks for taking the time to make it. RIP my SD Card

Just happened to me—my P1P died mid-print and wouldn’t boot up. It turns out the SD card was faulty.

Thank you! I had the same problem with the SD card. Was dreading troubleshooting a bad board or cable.

Great that this small hint still helps. I remember how I was shocked in the first moment when the damn think did not booted.
Happy printing!

It literally was just SD card. P1S turned into brick, i spend some time trying to figure out, plug in/ot eerith, check outlets, voltage, pray, etc. And after pop out SD card, it resurected. Not a pleasant experience
