P1S + AMS + Bambu studio = 2 color print weird results

I am trying my first multicolor print in a part that I’ve created in Fusion 360 myself. Just a rectangle with an extruded name. I wanted for the tag to be green and the name other color.
It starts fine but, towards the final layers, the last letters are almost all green when they should not be according to the slicer setup (see attached)

Any ideas?

Looks like that it did not flush enough.

But that doesn’t make much sense given the size of the characters.

Welcome to the forum.

Exactly.

What are you flush volumes set to? Sometimes they can default to zero.

Sorry but something doesn’t add up here with your photos from the slicer vs. the actual part you show. Slicer pictures show the letters flush whereas your photo shows it with the letters embossed?

You have a keen eye. The actual print that I show is from a previous attempt where the extruding was bigger. For the one shown in the slice, despite being more modest, the emboss still exists and the same behavior was observed.

It was indeed zero. I’ve changed to 1 and recalculated… now it looks like this:

I’m guessing it would be OK now

If the letters are solid blue, above a green background - then there should be very few color changes, and no chance for green to remain at the top of the letter.
It looks more like you have a green and blue shape, or just blue on the top layer.

Try something similarly simple, but with very well differentiated objects: Customizable Text Bookmark with Raised Letters by ChrisCox - MakerWorld This should give you some indication of how separate objects should look in Bambu Studio, and print.

yeah same thinking here from my side.

Check under “Process” – “Objects” if there is a color selection issue for that letter

After changed it to 1 (and recalculated) it mainly solved it. Thank you.

Even though setting the flush multiplier mainly solved the case, I will definitely check this setting later today. I was unaware of it. Thank you very much!
