The lever already cut the filament, but when I tried to heat it up as you suggested, I was pulling so hard the filament broke inside whatever that thing is. (What is it?) It won’t load or unload now. I don’t get any errors though. It’s making some kind of chattering noise when it tries to load/unload.
Sorry I don’t know why but I figured you had reassembled it and it was stuck, if it is just like in the picture the filament is just going into the extruder gear assembly (the gears that push the filament into the nozzle).
If the filament is actually jammed in it you can remove it and clear it manually, the whole assemble comes off easily.

I also had to do the hot hex wrench thing to pull the filament out of the hotend. The cutter had done it’s job.
I took the extruder off and disassembled it, blew dust out (there wasn’t much) and a blob of black filament came out with it. Put a drop of oil on the steel gears and reassembled. The yellow gear is fine.
It then successfully printed the same thing that caused the jam. 
This is the second major repair I’ve done to it since buying it a year ago. I bought it from a friend who upgraded to an X1C. First thing was to replace the camera. He must have done something to the camera because it wasn’t recording (I knew that when I bought it). Why? The ribbon cable was mangled. A new camera module was ordered, and I had video again after I replaced it.
He put about 250 hours on it; I’ve added another 200 in the past year. It doesn’t get used too much, but I like it.
