Hello, I got my P1S a couple of weeks ago and I’m quite happy with it. I’ve been printing PLA, PETG, TPU and ABS with virtually no issues; the textured sheet it came with seems to be basically perfect. Quite a step up from my Prusa MK3.
I just have a doubt about ABS, which I had never used before: I’m using Sunlu ABS with the Generic ABS profile, and it sticks to the plate and prints pretty well. However, while some parts pop off the plate on their own when it cools down, others (such as those with a wider first layer surface or a brim) remain stuck and need some effort to be removed.
Looking at the part from the bottom, I can see some white-ish “residue”, and the plate retains a lighter mark where the part was. An example is this piece printed with a brim, at the top in the picture; it 's more visible on the outside walls.
The plate goes back to being pristine with some IPA cleaning, so I’m not sure if I am indeed damaging the PEI sheet, or if something else is going on. I’d instinctively go for “less squish”, but I’m not sure if that would lead to adhesion problems elsewhere, plus I can’t find any Z-offset option in Bambulab (I only found a conditional G29.1 in the start gcode).
Any advice would be most welcome — I’m mostly just concerned about damaging my textured sheet. Thank you in advance!
