P1S binds, does not connect

I’m having lots of trouble. My P1S is less than a year old, bought in November 2025, and I’ve printed consistently with it all year up until now a month ago when it started to fail to connect. I was printing with no issues one weekend, then the next weekend comes and it just won’t connect. I am able to go through all the binding steps and can see the printer added to my account. It will say I’m connected but will refuse to actually respond to any commands like moving the bed or turning on the light, then says it’s disconnected. This is the same in Handy and on my computer.

Here’s everything I have tried to solve it:

Turn printer on/off (obviously), didn’t help. Unplugged and waited before rebooting, didn’t help. Removed printer from my account and rebound it, didn’t help. Forgot printer in my bluetooth settings and toggled bluetooth on/off and removed printer from my account before rebinding, didn’t help. Factory reset of the printer, didn’t help. Formatted the micro SD and reconfigured to read my network per the wiki instructions, didn’t help. Router has been restarted, didn’t help. I created a new network on my wifi (tmobile 5g home) to only use 2.4ghz, reconfigured the SD again to recognize this network, and rebound the printer, this didn’t help either. To my knowledge everything is up to date, the printer, phone, Handy, Studio, computer, and nothing with my wifi has been changed before. All of these steps I’ve tried multiple times.

I opened a ticket with bambu support for all the good that will do. They’ve told me to do all the things I already was doing and then blamed my wifi. They said to try connecting the printer do a different wifi, but I’m at home why would I have 2 wifis? They said to connect the printer to my mobile hotspot, WHICH ACTUALLY WORKED, but this can’t possibly be the fix long term or even short term. They had me take apart the printer to find the wifi antenna and check if that was damaged. How would I know if it’s damaged? It looks fine and was plugged in. And with no explanation they sent me a new wifi antenna to install. It’s been installed, printer has been restarted, factory reset, bluetooth forgotten and toggled, bound, connected, annnnd doesn’t do anything. Now bambu support is telling me to turn off all my security, VPNs, anitvirus, and firewalls. This is my work computer, needless to say even if I was allowed to do that, I am not doing that. It has worked on this computer and my wifi all year up until this point.

I am out of ideas and need help. I have not found similar threads with this issue and bambu’s support is useless.

Is your P1s in LAN mode or is it connected to a bambu cloud account? Im guessing the latter.

If you want to rule out WAN connectivity [your work pc and any VPN in play will need to be analyzed!] drop the printer into LAN mode, use the PIN to bind to it from your PC, and then try to issue nozzle temp commands. If this works, you’ve got network issues. The printer AND your PC needs WAN access if you have it setup with bambu cloud. Despite being on the same network, that stuff goes thru cloud if you’re set up that way. The hint is that your hotspot [an unimpeded connection to WAN] worked.

Your network is the problem.

There’s no device on earth that is going to be a silver bullet for all network configuration choices; it’s unreasonable to expect Bambu to craft custom firmware to solve every unique network condition in existence.

Turn off VPN and Windows firewall temporarily and if that fixes it try each individually to see which is the problem.

Something on TMobile’s end may have changed that is messing up the connection between your P1s and BL’s servers, and swapping it over to your mobile hotspot somehow bypasses that issue.
