Hello, I have a problem from the first day of use of my fantastic P1S, when calibrating the plate, the extruder moves throughout the printer but when it moves on the corners it goes to bump with the upper outer right corner of the printer. Is this normal or is it a defect ???
Gentle bump bump or hard slam?
There are no encoders so to home the printer Bambu must do one of several things. One way is to use switches. This can be unreliable as it’s hard to get high precision out of inexpensive switches. Another way is to use current or phase offset measurements while driving the axis into a hard stop. This can be very accurate and repeatable as the hard stop is part of the frame. This is how Bambu finds home. The gentle bump bump into the corner sets both X and Y. Z is set with the gentle tap tap tap on the build plate.
