P1S does not start printing

I just finished a print job. I swapped from PETG to PLA, made sure the new color was oozing out the hotend and picked a new model to print. I pressed twice to start and the screen showed “ready to prin” with the cursor blinking on the triangular “forward” icon. But nothing happening.
Switched the P1S off, restarted, same story. Calibration, no change.
Any suggestions?

Did it show the “Print job failed to start” message?

No, it didn’t. That would have been an explanation.

Are you sending the print from Bambu Studio, and if so, does it show the usual popup where it uploads the file via the cloud and then switches to the printer page where you can see it download the file?

I haven’t printed directly from the printer, if that is what you are trying, but maybe you’d get more feedback as to the issue if you try from Studio, if you’re not doing so already.

I was using the SD card as I like to have previous prints on the card.

Strange thing just happened. I inserted another card I have been using, picked any file and it started the initialization. I stopped it, inserted the first card again and this time the print started without problem. Go figure!

Thanks for trying to help me. Have a good one.

I have the same problem. Have you found any solutions??

I’m trying my first print. I am trying to print the benchy for the sd card. The printer heats up but never starts printing. What am I doing wrong?

Welcome to the forum.

Little bit of a silly question but have you loaded the filament?

I thought I had, but the AMS wasn’t working properly. So I disconnected it and went with the standard spool which worked just fine. Next task is to find out why the AMS is not loading filament.
Thanks for the reply.

If you see blinking red lights in the AMS, check the 4 pin cable that goes from the back of the printer to the hub. I’ve recently started having issues with my cable. I have to push hard on the end of the cable that goes into the printer. Then the AMS lights turn white.
