P1S Features Vs X1

I have a P1S, and it almost seems like Bambu intentionally didn’t put certain features just because then nobody would buy the X1 series printers. A LCD screen for example, is present on the A1 and A1 mini, but if you spend 2-3 times the price, all you get is a pixelated black and white screen with a Dpad. Also the flow calibration, why does a $200 printer have it but not a $500 printer, it just doesn’t make sense.

I guess that the A1 and A1 mini arrived after the P series, so they got improvements. But, The P series has other benefits over the A series machines.

Of course you could purchase…

This panda touch is becoming interesting. BIGTREETECH is developing and offering interesting stuf for P1 series.

Are you referring to the temp/humidity upgrades or is there something else I am unaware of?

Plus - Core XY, options for enclosed AMS, multiple AMS.
But, hotend changes are easier on the A series.

Il post a link of a clip i watched on YT where the BiQu was on Form-next talking about future plans and add-ons also for Bambu lab printers - think this screen will become pretty powerful in the future.

I am considering getting one, but one of the main features I need is to be able to remap filament for a print from the SD card and from what I understand it can’t do that?

From my understanding, only gcode stored in the sd card and the filament slot in the AMS in used is hard written in the gcode, and there is no easy way to change it.

Maybe, it’s possible by inserting the sd card into computer and use something like notepad++ to edit the gcode manually so that you can remap the filament slot. Apart from that, I don’t think BBL implement that kind of function into the printer.

Well I was thinking about it similar to Bambu handy where you can do a print from history and change the AMS slot without reslicing it.

The Touchscreen is pretty cool and works well, i bought it too when i got my P1S. But all in all I don´t use it as much as i thougt. I send the files from my Computer to the printer and for other things like moving the axis I use the Bambu Handy App on my phone  It is nice to have but i would not buy it again.
