P1S Pricing + Upgrades

Hi everyone,
I currently own a A1 Mini and are looking to buy a P1S, Does anyone have any information about when the sales are and if Bambu’s new printer that should hopefully come out by the end of Q1 will lower the price of the P1S.

Also just to avoid making another post,

Does anyone recommend any upgrades for the P1S, I am planning on getting the PLA + PETG Cryogrip Frostbite, is it any good?

:duck:

About the new bambu printer… no clue. But regarding the question about upgrades for the P1S. I use it with cryogrip glacier. And I must say, it stick very well without use of glue ect… It leaves a nice smooth fininsh. Other things to upgrade is put the led bar sold by pandatech in your P1S. It makes a world of difference. A redesign version ( pick one in makerworld and make it yourself ) of the nozzle cleaner is also highly recommended. If you have the bambu handy app on your phone/tablet then the bambu touch controlpanel is not really a upgrade but more a nice to have. This is just me 5 cents ;-).

Update. Even with the redesigned wiper I still had some PETG sticking to the nozzle. Then I installed the panda jet for the nozzle cooling. WOW that did the trick, a spotless nozzle every time. Even with the sticky stuff.

Is this the one? biqu.equipment/products/panda-jet-cooling-fan-duct-for-bambulab-x1-p1-hotend-panda-revo?variant=41427499417698

Also for the plate I was looking at the frostbite as its supposed to be better for PLA?

YES! that’s the one. Or you could make your live easier and just buy the panda jetpack. It a bit a "#@& to take de original fanduct of ;-).

The Panda Jet upgrade intrigues me.

I watched a handful of reviews on this upgrade and only found one that said it improved overhangs and a little better bridging. Most of them did not mention what filament they were using, so I have to assume it was PLA.

I would say maybe less than 5% of my printing is PLA, so I don’t find these reviews helpful.

I would really like to know how it works with PETG, ABS and ASA.

Have you noticed any other improvements besides PETG sticking?

I think I will try the Panda Cryogrip Glacier plate as it is compatible with ABS and hopes it helps cut the warping on larger prints.

Hmmm okay, I don’t use anything other than PLA though so I’m not sure if it’s worth it. (I print business card holders for businesses.)

PLA was never a problem to wipe the nozzle clean. It was always the sticky PETG that left some strining on the nozzle after cleaning. But as a fact, there is no more ‘cleaning debries’ op the printplate sinds I installed the pandajet + the improved nozzle cleaner (v3.3). And about the gryogrip glacier, thats my favoriet. Until now I only printed with PETG and PLA ( moved from A1>P1S) , the first spool of ASA is orderd. Will keep you posted how thats working out ;-).

Thanks, I will be purchasing my P1S with the frostbite soon, (If the H2D lowers the price )

I have the Cryogrip Frostbite Pro plate for over a month now for my P1S and it works really good. The basement of my house only has about 12°C now in Winter and I had a few problems with warping even on PLA when I had the door of the printer open a bit. The Frostbite Pro Plate solves this problem for me. Prints also stick pretty good to the plate, can not complain about it

I read above that some of you use the Panda Jet and it should help with a clean nozzle? I have some problems with purging and nozzle cleaning with multicolor prints, I am wondering if that would help…

Don’t upgrade just for the sake of upgrading. Make sure it is actually helpful.

I was trying to print PC (Polycarbonate) for the first time and having terrible warping issues.

I found a setting that turned off the cooling fans for the first so many layers and set it to seven (7). Then I didn’t have any more warping issues. (No upgrade necessary.)

It didn’t try to cool the PC for the first seven layers and my warping issues went away. I was very happy, no upgraded needed.

Is this supposed to be here?
