P1S printer turn off during download of file

Hi all,
I have had a P1S printer for almost 2 years now and printed 1000’s of hours with it.
The printer has started to turn off during downloading the file and sometimes just after the download has completed.
It is not an overheating issue as this hasn’t started yet. It’s not a WIFI connection issue either.
I have to turn the printer off (even though it is off) and then turn it back on and try again. It might take 5 or 7 attempts and it might end up printing or this just goes on and on.
Has anyone had a similar issue and if so how did they fix this frustrating problem.

thanks again.

Did you try using a new micro SD card?
If the issue persists, a factory reset may be worth trying.

Hi Jay,
the current SD card had about 8 gig of used space, I tried another SD card that was reformatted and clear and the same thing happened.
How do you do a factory reset and what is being reset?

thanks

Factory reset can be done on the printer, selecting Settings and the Factory Reset:

Everything. The printer will be in the same status as when you got it new, so you need to follow up on the new printer process configuration, which, in my view, isn’t a significant effort.
The only information that poses a significant effort to deal with is whether you have stored the filament flow dynamics calibration records in the AMS. Despite the possibility of adding this info back using Bambu Studio, it still requires that:

  • backup all of them;
  • add each filament preset one by one;
    In that case, I would try everything else before doing a factory reset.
