P1S prints too stringy and weak please help

I haven’t had these problems in the past with my P1S, but lately my prints have been having nothing but issues with my prints lately. Even after cleaning/lubricating the machine as recomended, I still am getting these issues, even after many cold pulls. My usual go to is the Sunlu PLA+, this time I was using it for a Batman cosplay, but not only were the layer lines visible even when using a hardened steel 0.4 nozzle, the overall print quality was poor and weak, and I haven’t had an issue with printing on standard default settings until now. The tree supports either were weak and wavy or a stringy mess (see pictures), not at all like the solid trees that used to print out.

Even when printing a mostly flat print it would have these weird striations that made it feel incomplete (see pictures).

This also extends to higher end materials like pa6cf, also Sunlu. The prints were nothing but stringy messes (see pictures), and this was after drying the filament for 24 hrs at 90°C.

I had mixed success in the past with this and I want to get better, but to also have problems with PLA prints is another issue. I am still new to this and I ask for your help, so please what am I to do to fix these print issues.

Just to verify. You have tried changing the hot end to a hardened steel hot end? Did you select ‘hardened steel’ in the slicer after you changed?

Have you tried running a filament calibration? Pressure advance, flow ratio, temp.tower.

Yes I did change the setting to hardened steel after the switch. How do I preform the other tasks?

I’ll start by asking the obvious question before we dive deep into troubleshooting:

Could it be that your filament has gone bad - for example, due to moisture, sunlight, or something else? Does this happen with every PLA filament, or just with this one?

What does the print look like when you use a different filament?

I’ve taken that information into account, but for now I’m just going to focus on PLA. Step by step. What happens if you use a different roll of PLA filament? Does it look exactly the same?

You could also quickly check what your extruder gear looks like - it’s a quick process. As far as I know, the P1S doesn’t come with a hardened steel extruder gear assembly. You didn’t mention how old your printer is, but that could be the cause of the problem. Or as bambu says:

“If abrasion or clogging occurs due to extended use, users can just replace the extruder gear assembly rather than the whole extruder unit.”

Those areas on the batarangs where it looks like its extruding mostly, and then extruding almost none, then back again, make me think of incomplete and partial clogs that get stuck but work themselves out. If you have it, I think a .6 nozzle will be a good data point if not a solution (if this is carbon fill, it kinda looks like it?)

Even the parts “doing well” aren’t looking so hot imo, though, so I also lean towards the filament being 1)maybe too far gone, or 2)in dire need of temp, flow, and PA calibration. Speaking of temp, this isn’t sunlus meta pla is it? Meta is much lower temp and can get downright angry at 230

I wanted to give an update. After uncloging the extruder and cleaning/greasing/lubing the printer the front piece of tje cowl turned out ok. It’s still not at the level it was before, but workable. The problem came when trying to print the sides. The supports failed and the textures came out wrong.
