P1S rattling / grinding sound

Hello guys,

I have a P1S that I have been using for 4 months. In the last month it developed a grinding / rattling noise.

There is a video about it: VID_20240924_213933.mp4 - pCloud

It’s coming from the toolhead. At far as i can tell. I listened to it for several hours / days now.

Tried Gyroid, Cross Hatch, Rectilinear, Cubic, nearly everything, it’s the same.

Tried lubricating and / or greasing everything, nothing changed.

Tried retensioning the belts multiple times using multiple guides and accessories (spacers, etc) nothing changed.

Tried disassembling the toolhead, lubricating, cleaning, checking if something is loose, changing the nozzle. Nothing helped.

I don’t know what is causing it. Bambu support is telling me this is normal. I think this is not normal, it was silent in the first 3 months and now it prints like a train.

Do you have any idea? It’s driving me insane now, I am thinking about selling this and buying an A1, this is horrible.

Uhm…it is normal.

Also for me it doesn’t seem to sound out of the ordinary in the video

I believe thats how mine sounds also

As Mr @JonRaymond has mentioned in other threads, if you are using grid infill you will hear it hitting itself. Pick another infill pattern that doesn’t cross itself.

that variable grinding/rumbling sound as it’s doing the curves sounds like the pressure advance doing it’s work to me.
