today I was wondering if my P1S always took so long in order to boot up after I switched it on. It took 20 seconds from turning on the switch until the screen showed something. At one time the screen was building up the image very slowly. What are your experiences?
That is not normal. Try removing the SD card and see if the boot time changes. A failing SD card could cause this.

Ok, I replaced the sd card the other day!
