After I updated my P1S firmware to 01.08.00 this morning it will not print anymore.
I had to connect to the printer again.
I then sliced a 3mf file in Bambu Studio 1.10.2.76 (Bambu PLA Basic settings) and tried to print it. The file loaded, the printer started homing and stopped at print bed preheating and stating 54/55… After that : nothing.
I tried different files (3mf and stl) but with the same result.
I did have a clog yesterday but dealt with it.
Turns out a lot of people have this issue so I downloaded 1.07 again. happy days.
Came here looking to see if I was the only one. Updated the P1S firmware and it got stuck on the Heatbed Preheating for over ten minutes, then I received a ‘failure to connect to AMS’ notification.
Tried two prints, managed to get to 12% on the second one before the AMS failure popped up again.
I am getting tired of doing updates and then losing functionality.
In my case, it was the compbination of Orca Slicer and 01.08.00 that triggered the malfunction. When I use Bambu Studio, it prints fine on the latest firmware.
You don’t have to do a factory reset. Open the Bambu Handy on your phone, go to device, settings, firmware version and choose "I want to downgrade to a previous version and choose 01.07
I have the same problem, printer stopped on trying to purge fillament step, basically not comunicatting with the ams, I’m doing now a factory reset giving a try to this firmware, I’ll keep you updated.
make sure you’re using the latest supported version of the software as per released notes:
Bambu Studio: v2.0.3.54 or later
Bambu Handy: v3.1.0 or later
100% my fault, I thought I have the latest version installed and didn’t read the realease notes
One of the things I learnt as a firmware developer and tester was to always do a reset after an upgrade. On my Creality printer it was very important to do this also, so there’s no reason to expect Bambu Lab printers to be different. While this does clear all settings, running Calibrate from the machines menu will restore most of those settings. For the sake of less agrovation it’s worth the 25 minutes Calibration takes to run.
Did you experience any bed leveling issues?
My printer will auto level and print from bambu handy without error, as well as manually level. But sending anything from studio it fails the bed level. I thought I needed and update so i updated the firmware but its the same deal
I just updated my P1S today as it asked for it. Now I cant can’t connect from the app to the printer. The App says my printer is offline (its not).
Also BambuStudio on the PC, says: printer connecting but doesn’t do it and gives me a yellow dot behind the printers name.
Clicking on the icon in front of the printer givea me the choices connect with PIN, also connect with accesscode. I don’t have either.
I would find the PIN on the account page on the printer it says. But it doesn’t.
On the printer, under account, after I deletet my account as I was stuck) it says: nicht angemeldet and I have chosen “Europe”.
Instead of showing me a PIN which seemingly is now needed, it ask me to go into the app, to choose the printer to create a connection. But as mentioned, the app shows the printer offline.
Wasn’t the big promise of Bambulab when we jumped on it and bought initially the P1P for a high price, updated it for more money to the P1S, theae are printers, for those who want just print and not to tinker with the printers.
But now we have to be IT specialists in order to just continue to use the product. All info in the wicki and such is not helpful and I cant find my specific situation. I just want to print if I have done so until yesterday…
I’m almost 70 years old and getting to old for such BS. And I just recommended a friend to get a A1 so he can just learn and enjoy, as Bambu printers “just work”
Just checked in Bambustudio and it shows my printer on the right number but as a P1P. I upgraded it to an P1S as soon as the upgrade became available. Why is it falling back to the former version??? That’s so fxxked up
