Just downgrade the firmware via the handy app to previous version and then all will work perfectly from orcaslicer as it did prior to this firmware update.
A lot of us use Orca Slicer, and 1.08 doesn’t work with that at the moment. So the only option at the moment that seems to work is to downgrade to 1.07
Thank you this save my sanity. I have been going crazy for the last few days. Even did a factory reset.
It sounds like a frustrating problem. A few users have reported success by updating their printer’s firmware. If you haven’t tried that yet, check for any available updates on the manufacturer’s website and apply them. Additionally, ensure that the AMS unit is properly connected and calibrated. Double-check the file format and compatibility as well. If the issue persists, contacting the manufacturer’s support for a detailed diagnosis might be your best option. Hopefully, one of these steps helps resolve your issue!
This is the answer, I tried everything, but just please don’t waste your time and downgrade the firmware, you guys can downgrade it in handy app.
OK, I had some problems in installing the latest version of Bambu Studio (I use Debian. The Ubuntu versions didn’t want to start, but the Fedora version did).
Now everything is working as advertised, and I can print again from Bambu Studio.
This is with the latest firmware, and the latest software.
Same here, but only when I tried to print from OrcaSlicer. Reverted to 1.07 and it works great.
@MadfishFPV Thank you. That worked for me. I’d actually upgraded firmware just before my last print so the idea to rollback didn’t occur to me.
yes same problem. Like to know how to fix it
Okay. Yup. May '25 and the FIX is NOT rolling back your firmware from 08 to 07, it’s just UPDATING your Bambu Studio software to 2.1 . It even says in the changelog that 2.1 addresses a ton of AMS errors from the latest firmware release.
Once I did that l, all new items are printing well. I think I’ll format the cards and start with fresh slices from the Studio.
Thank you so much for this quick and clean fix. You rock!!
I know this thread is over a year old but I just had the same thing happen to me today. I tried to delete all files on the SD card including timelapse. That did not fix it. I had previously powered the unit off for 5 min and then powered on. Confirmed all of the updates were done. What I tried was using a different filament profile. I had selected Generic PLA for one of my colors. I changed it to a custom one I created and it then would print. I know others have mentioned similar solutions, so i will validate that it worked for me.
I solved this by selecting the “Check AMS on Power Up”" option and power cycling the printer. I didn’t need to downgrade the firmware.
Unfortunately the next time I powered the printer on, the old error returned.
