For some odd reason my low milage P2s has lost the park position. That is to say it will not go back to behind the filament scraper during the start of a print. I had just completed a 10 hour print with no issues. Next day printer has decided to not go to the very back behind the filament scraper. I have cleaned, oiled everything, even re seated the nozzle in new clean heat sink compound. I have cleaned behind the scraper head area for any debris that might hinder the parking effort. When I run the round green home in the XYZ Motion tab the print head will not go behind the scraper. I have been trying for two days to find the problem/solution and failed, this is the reason for asking for help. I will try to attach a video.
If your just asking for the file of the part I am trying to print I don’t think that will help, the printer does the same lost parking deal on any print file I use. If your asking for a file from the printer actions you will have to help me find that.
No, I’m saying go to your slice preview, and rather than hitting send to printer, hit the down arrow and select export instead, and post that file.
Comparing the homing move in that file to the default P2S homing move Bambu Studio scripting will determine if this is a printer issue or a studio issue.
Check your Y-axis rods at the very back to make sure one debris from printing has not lodged itself there preventing full rear movement. If you move the toolhead by hand can it go all the way?
Also, have you shorten your PTFE tube going to the printhead? The printer might miss proper homing the tube preventing full travel.
Have you installed any mods, dust covers for instance? Some are badly designed and interfere with the toolhead.
If none apply just try a factory reset and re-try.
I did all the checks for junk interfering with travel and there is none, the print head will go to the proper position using the XYZ functions on the motion tab but looses it when starting a print, any print. I just completed a factory reset, waiting for results. Nope same junk, purges filament in front of scraper like in the picture. This leads me to believe in is something mechanical and not firmware or software. So next question is how did I figure out what is out of time and how do I correct it?

You definitely have a mechanical issue. Turn the printer off, grab the print head, and gently move it around, you’re feeling for increases in resistance.
I took Sunday off. This morning I pushed the print head where it should be then forced the belts to slip to move it to the limits of X and Y. Then I parked the head at home turned off the printer and waited for a bit then turned it back on. The printer seems to be working fine now, not a recommended way to fix it but an efficient way to fix it. Now I think I will adjust the belt tension before doing much printing. Weird problem, weird fix. I don’t suggest using this method for anyone. I was real close to ordering a Snapmaker U1.

I had the same problem. On the Bambu Lab Wiki page, you need to type ‘purge position’ into the search bar, and the guide you’re looking for will appear among the first results. Just follow the instructions on that page. Unfortunately, I can’t share the direct link… This will 100% fix your problem!
Thanks for the tip. I went to that place and read up on how to correct the issue. If mine decides to tank a dump again I will use that method of repair.
