PSA : I bought a P2S with AMS last month as my first 3D printer, so I’m an absolute beginner.
So my first prints went absolutely fine, but now the toolhead is starting to make random micro-pause in the process of printing, as if it recalibrate its position for few seconds, before resuming the print.
It’s causing stringing on the print, and slowing down the overall process (see video on my reddit post : https://www.reddit.com/r/BambuLab/comments/1sun89m/p2s_making_micropause_when_printing_causing/)
I dunno if it’s a normal behaviour, but it seems to occur on models needing >3h to print (update: it does it even on model needing 40min to print)
I tried to recalibrate, update the firmware, change filament, drying filament with the AMS, but the problem is still here.
I print using PLA Basic from Bambu Store only.
Check if you have smooth timelapse enabled instead of normal. It’s in global other
It’s on “Traditional” since the beginning and always off when I launch a print.
But you might be onto something since the photo showed on the wiki page bare ressemblance with my printed result ( Timelapse Functionality Introduction | Bambu Lab Wiki )
I also learned that there was a faulty Timelapse GCode on the printer settings which may caused a similar problem (see Bypassing the Forced 3rd Layer Clump Detection - #3 by JsLS ) but I think it’s not my case.

So, my thoughts when something like this happens is - storage wear but thats a new printer. Does it have external storage like the H2 series and it might be old? Too complicated of a model (that doesnt look complicated though? Only this model doing it? I’ve seen that only with the timelapse and if there is an item “skipped” during print.
Strange regardless.
