P2s Rear Silicone Sock

I purchased a P2s a few months ago. Everything has been good until recently and I started to experience issues with PLA lifting on corners. I was trying to diagnose and I removed the nozzle for the first time and I noticed there may be a missing silicone boot, or part of a boot missing on the back, which I assume has nothing to do with my issue. However, I figured I would ask here if my toolhead is missing a silicone boot over the wires in the back? I have never seen a piece drop before so I have no idea if it came like this or what happened. How do I fix it?

Ok so by your photo it appears I am missing a piece. Can this be replaced?

It looks like it’s possible. You might need to contact support.

You can find the answer to a lot of questions here: P2S | Bambu Lab Wiki

After contacting support it appears, I think, the piece is on the back of the hot end assembly. However, its a consumable part? that after two months of use and spending over $1000 to buy this thing, I have to replace? That’s ridiculous. I’m speaking with support right now, however I am seeing this is a common issue with P2S with multiple reports of new machines having this issue.

Had a print disconnect and it had a huge blob all around. Couldn’t use hot end heat to remove it all so I used a heat gun. Was able to clear PLA away from all parts but it ruined this silicone piece and melted/ruined a hotend heater wire.

Got a replacement and installed but now it won’t heat up.

Machine was great until the blob, now I’ve been down over a week and don’t know which part is even broken now. Loved it for 5 days now very disappointed. . .

if you purchase the hotend heating assembly for the p2s, does the silicone sock on the rear come with the replacement?

Had a burnt blob that was causing issues, and I tried to remove it as soft as possible, but it was on the thin part, and it just came with it as it completely encapsulated the thin part (your photo right side)

I can confirm the silicone sock on the rear comes with the replacement. Bambu sent me a new one and its attached to the back of the hot end.

Did you ever get this fixed? I just accidentally pulled my and i partially borke.

Would be nice if the rear silicone sock was sold as a separate part so that you don’t have to buy the whole hotend heating assembly as it is a consumable part @BambuLab

Would be nice if someone created a file for a mold and we could make our own
