So I’ve been having this problem that started a few days ago. My P2S keeps telling me the toolhead’s front cover fell off even though it very much hasn’t. I’ve tried everything in the wiki - replacing the cover and reseating the cables - and nothing worked. Any other suggestions?
I’m unfamiliar with the P2S. Is there a trip switch or a sensor the determines if it’s on or not?
check that is aligned correctly, or one of the toolhead magnets may be missing, which would cause that issue.
Make sure the connector is properly seated.
Does the printer stop when you recive the message.
I’m having the exact same problems. I’ve been working on this for over two weeks now if you find the fix, please share it with us.
I received my new P2S yesterday Aug 14th and my tool face cover has fallen off twice since using it is this a new feature of this printer? If so this sucks.
make downgrade firmware, my new p2s with latest update not work. made downgrade and all works
I went through this a few weeks ago… Downgrade to the previous firmware for the quick fix. What solved it for me was sticking a couple of magnets in the toolhead cover behind the upper right (from the front) magnet. Looks like the hall sensor doesn’t register the toolhead cover with the latest firmware. Since adding the extra magnets, I’ve been running the latest official firmware for several hundred hours without a repeat.
may be a dumb question but where exactly behind the cover did you stick it? and what did you use to stick it?
